Born in Wisconsin, Don moved to Washington at age seven. Upon graduating from Wenatchee High School, he joined the US Army Reserve where he served eight years in active duty and reserves. During his reserve commitment, he attended WSU, earning a Bachelor degree in Math and Science Education and completing the requirements for his WA State Principal certification. Don earned a Master of Arts degree in Education Administration from Oral Roberts University.

Don has over 45 years of experience in the field of education. During his 22 years with the Bellevue School District, he worked as a junior high mathematics teacher and as a principal at the elementary, junior and high school levels. Don founded a liberal arts college and a private K-12 school where he was awarded Administrator of the Year by an international accrediting association. He has also worked as an educational consultant to the governments of the United States, Nigeria, Guatemala, El Salvador, Bulgaria and Albania.

Don is excited to be a part of EA2 where the staff provides total 1-on-1 instruction , helping students reach their full academic potential. He and his wife, Carole, enjoy family time with their married children: son, Jeff (& Michelle) and two grandsons, Kaeden and Dylan, and daughter, Julie (& Darin) and granddaughter, Makayla, and grandson, Tyson, all of whom live nearby. They also enjoy travel, the outdoors, the arts, and sports.
